What To Expect

Your first session begins with a thorough consultation where we discuss your health history and current wellbeing, followed by the acupuncture treatment. The acupuncture needles used are sterile, single-use, and as fine as a human hair—designed for a gentle and relaxing experience.

Most patients find the treatment deeply calming, often leaving the clinic feeling a renewed sense of clarity and ease.

Treatment Toolkit

Acupuncture has a cumulative effect so several treatments are normally recommended. Initially, a course of one treatment per week for at least eight weeks is recommended. Your treatment sessions may include a variety of techniques to support your body’s recovery including Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Gua Sha, Cupping, and Tui Na.

Acupuncture - The Foundation of Balance. Fine, sterile needles are gently placed at specific points to regulate the body’s "Qi" or vital energy. This practice stimulates the nervous system, promotes natural healing, and restores emotional and physical equilibrium. Needles may be inserted for just a second or two, or they may be left for a while before the needles are removed.

Moxibustion - The Power of Warmth. Slow and careful burning of the herb Mugwort (Moxa) on or near the skin deeply warms the meridians and strengthens the blood. It is especially effective for boosting immunity, relieving chronic pain, and calming the digestive system.

Gua Sha - Restoring Flow. Using a smooth tool, this "scraping" technique releases tension in the muscles and fascia. It promotes microcirculation, helps detoxify the tissues, and is known for its immediate relief of neck, shoulder, and back pain.

Cupping - Deep Tissue Release. Glass or silicone cups create a vacuum on the skin’s surface to draw out stagnation. This "reverse massage" decompresses the muscles, improves blood flow, and is an excellent tool for sports injuries or respiratory congestion.
