About Alex

My name is Alex King and I am a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working from a quiet and relaxing clinic in Hitchin, as well as from a multibed clinic based in Westminster University, London.

I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy in 2025 and was awarded a Distinction for my Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board.  I was also highly commended for my clinical work. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach.  This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with a holistic approach to you as an individual.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.

My clinic is licensed by North Hertfordshire Council and Westminster Council respectively, and I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.

Ancient Healing for Modern Times

The ancient art of Five Element Acupuncture helps to restore balance and vitality to your life.

This tradition recognises that health is more than the absence of symptoms—it is the harmonious flow of energy across the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

By identifying which element requires support, I work to treat the root cause of your concerns rather than just the surface symptoms. Whether you are seeking relief from a specific physical ailment or looking to improve your overall emotional well-being, my goal is to provide a calm, grounded space for your recovery.
